Distribution: Florida (Hodges, 1986), southern California (BOLD), Arizona (Barman et al. 2021). Type locality: Valdesi, near Palermo, Sicily. Similar Species: 2284.1 Dichomeris nenia has a row of gray scales above the eyes, not orange as in acuminata. Pinned specimens of related species.
