Distribution: Throughout the Great Plains and areas east of it, extending into central New Mexico. (Pellmyr 1999) Larva and Host Plants: T. yuccasella Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: intermedius (Riley, 1881) (Prodoxus); Lectotype: Dallas, TX. Note: lectotype designated by Davis (1967). Taxonomic Notes: Tegeticula intermedius (Riley, 1881) is elevated from synonymy of 0198 Tegeticula yuccasella.
