Taxonomic Notes: Chloridea virescens (Fabricius, 1777) was formerly placed in the genus Heliothis. The new generic combination from Pogue (2013) is followed by Lafontaine & Schmidt (2015), Lafontaine & Schmidt, 2015: 140.
