Distribution: Type locality (elimata):: Georgia. Type locality (grisatra): Lakehurst, NJ. Similar Species: Xestia badicollis (Grote, 1873) Xestia dilucida (Morrison, 1875) Xestia praevia Lafontaine, 1998 Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Noctua elimata Guenée, 1852 • Semiophora grisatra Smith, 1907 Taxonomic Notes: Xestia elimata (Guenée, 1852), n. comb. (Lafontaine 1998), was formerly placed in the genus Anomogyna.
