Distribution: USA: Western CO and eastern NV to Southern AZ, NM and central TX. Type locality (chortalis): Texas. Type locality (aratrix): Bosque Co., TX. Type locality (miniptica): Contepec, Michoacan, Mexico. Description/ Field Marks: FWL: 18-22 mm; "first segment of middle tarsus 3 X as long as apical four segments..." (Lafontaine, 2004). Similar Species: Richia parentalis FWL: 16-19 mm; "First segment of middle tarsus slightly enlarged, 1.5-1.7 X as long as apical four segments" (Lafontaine 2004). Pinned specimens of related species.
