Distribution: California Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: hemisema (Meyrick, 1885) (Ocystola); TL: Australia. Taxonomic Notes: Tachystola hemisema (Meyrick 1885), introduced to southern California from Australia and tentatively added to the list, is confirmed by genitalia and DNA barcode, J-F Landry (pers. comm., 10/27/2021)
