Taxonomic Notes: Rhabdorthodes pattersoni Crabo, 2018, n. sp., is named after Robert (Bob) Patterson in recognition of his work the the Moth Photographers Group website, ZooKeys, 788: 188.
This species was listed with the phylogenetic sequence number 933115.1 in the 2018 Noctuoidea Checklist, a number preoccupied by Protorthodes texicana, and is corrected to 933115.7.
