Host Plants:
Host familiy: Poaceae.  Host genera: Bromus Dactylis Elymus Saccharum Sorghum.  Notes: grasses & sedges (Wagner et al 2011); grasses (Poole 1989); climbing cutworm on seedheads of coarse grasses (Crabo et al 2014).  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025)
Description/
Field Marks:
Similar to lapidaria but can have white or fuscous hind wings.
Similar Species:
  • 932946 Leucania lapidaria: is separated only by genitalia or DNA barcoded.
