Distribution: A. e. extricalis: MA west to IL and south to northern FL and TX, Munroe (1976).
A. e. dionalis: NL and NS to YT, Canada; ME to northern NY, USA, Munroe (1976).
Description/
Field Marks:
Wingspan: ~24mm
A. e. dionalis is paler and grayer than nominate subspecies.
Similar Species:
  • 4955 Anania leuschneri is smaller.
  • 5262 Framinghamia helvalis has a double discocellular bar (reniform).
