Holotype: Gene Howe Wildlife Management Area, Hemphill Co., TX.
Similar Species:
  • Pelochrista palabundana - upper Midwest (Wright & Gilligan, 2017:58).
  • Pelochrista salaciana - southern Texas (Wright & Gilligan, 2017:58).

Synonymy: Eucosma rosaocellana Knudson, [1987]
Taxonomic Notes: Pelochrista rosaocellana (Knudson, [1987]) n. sp., J. Lepid. Soc. 40: 322, was formerly placed in the genus Eucosma, Gilligan et al. (2013), Zootaxa, 3746(2): 301-337.
