Taxonomic Notes: |
Parornix loganella (Stainton, 1848), a Palearctic species suspected of being Holarctic in Landry et al. (2013:19), is tentatively recognized within the North American fauna based on similar genitalia and DNA barcode, J-F Landry, pers. comm., 8/4/2021. DNA barcode does separate NA and European populations but both are currently placed in the the same BIN group. Further study is needed to verify the placement of the American population. |
