Taxonomic Notes: Scrobipalpa instabilella of authors not (Douglas, 1846) from Saskatchewan, previously treated as Scrobipalpa instabilella (Douglas, 1846) in Povolný (1998), was determined to represent two related, undescribed species in Huemer & Karsholt (2010: 189-190). Scrobipalpa instabilella (Douglas, 1846), a European species extralimital to North America, is removed from the Checklist.
