Similar Species:
  • 9214 A. falcula, 9215 A. parallela and some populations of 9218 A. mansueta may not be separated by observable characteristics.

Synonymy: Acronycta mansueta Smith, 1897
Taxonomic Notes: Acronicta mansueta (Smith, 1897), previously synonymized with 9214 Acronicta falcula in Lafontaine & Schmidt (2010), ZooKeys, 40: 136, is elevated back to full species status in Lafontaine & Schmidt (2011), Zookeys, 149: 153.
