Tribe Phosphilini. This tribe was proposed by Poole (1995) in the Amphipyrinae because of the very simple male valves in the genitalia. The larvae, however, have a dorsally grooved spinneret and a hair-like SD-1 seta on A9, clearly indicating an association with the Noctuinae.
