Zanclognatha Lederer. The genus Zanclognatha was synonymized with Polypogon Schrank by Poole (1989), but was later reinstated by Poole (1996) and has been treated as a valid genus by most subsequent authors. The two genera differ in the structure of the palpi, male antennae, and male genitalia (Owada 1987). Zanclognatha lituralis is a complex of species. The type material of Z. lituralis is lost.
