Alypia brannani. The name Alypia brannani, comb. rev., syn. n. represents a male of Alypia langtoni, a boreal zone species that extends southward in the Sierra Nevada. Stretch, in describing the species, associated it with Androloma maccullochii (as its synonyms A. lorquini and A. similis) because of the semitranslucent area posterior to the inflated costa. Examination of the holotype in AMNH shows that the holotype only has a slight swelling, similar to that in A. langtoni, and the clear area posterior to the costa is rubbed.
