Acronicta vulpina. Treated as a valid species by Kononenko et al. (1989) and Mikkola et al. (1991). It occurs in North America and eastern Asia and its range overlaps that of Acronicta leporina (Linnaeus, 1758) in southern Siberia. Recent molecular data from the Barcode of Life Project support this conclusion.
