Cucullia spaldingi. The species was originally spelled spauldingi and was spelled this way in Poole (1989). It was treated as an incorrect original spelling by Franclemont and Todd (1982) because the name is based on Tom Spalding, the collector of the specimens, but there is no indication in the paper that the name was misspelled. The name was synonymized with C. pulla by Poole (1995).
