The common name used here is of my invention. James Adams gives the range as from New Jersey south to Florida and across Florida to the Gulf Coast. John Glaser comments that it is a southwestern species wandering eastward across the Gulf States and northward. He has found it in Maryland only at the Soldier's Delight Serpentine Barren in Baltimore County, feeding on Serpentine Aster (Oct. 16).
